The Kosovo-concert for Yeni Dönem in Prizren, Kosova on friday 23 February 2000 took place in Hollands biggest mosque.

Even shattered by war, I was moved to see that Prizren people showed great joy at the arrival of the first Albanians, and were happy to offer them shelter. More than anything else I saw on tv made clear this always has been a country of migration, endlessly enriched by the mingling of cultures.

Anyone who saw on TV these fine looking people and beautiful children must wonder what they could ever have done to anyone? But sad enough they could no longer stay in their own homeland in peace, our protection is necessary.

To batter a world of false propaganda Türkevi and MokumTV of Amsterdam organized a stunning Kosova-night for the Yeni Dönem (New Turn) magazine.

That night gained 11.250 Euro to add to the costs of a new fm-radio station (circling 70 km) to broadcast 24 hours a day in English, Bosnic, Albanian and Turkish. The Yeni Dönem FM NewsCaster starts early September 2001 and will be run by the staff of the Yeni Dönem magazine.

Türkevi and MokumTV are known for promoting traditional oilwrestling in Europe as organizers of the Amsterdam Kirkpinar.
